On October 21st, 2022, Möbius will participate in the policy event dedicated to “Creative and Culture Industries: transform and innovate to enable new business opportunities” on the premises of the Frankfurt Bookfair. The panel discussion will be at the Conference room Brillanz, Hall 4.2, from 11.00 AM to 01.00 PM.

Being the Creative and Culture Industries (CCIs) an important source of growth and job creation in the European economy, and considering the new EIT KIC on the Cultural & Creative Sectors and Industries, the Music Moves Europe (MME) framework for supporting the European music sector, and further actions foreseen by Horizon Europe, it is crucial to focus on how to improve the connection between innovation coming from European research projects and business ecosystem and industries, aiming at support CCI’s market growth.
Therefore, the event will see insightful contributions from Dr Christian Ehler, Member of the European Parliament (MEP). They will open the panel’s session and some keynotes from high-level stakeholders, representatives from the EIT KIC on the Cultural & Creative Sectors and Industries, industry representatives and academia. The debate intends to discuss how to stimulate innovation in CCIs, by fostering the capitalisation of some good practices from the European-funded projects and supporting the future design of Research & Innovation in Creative and Culture Industries (CCIs).
Partners experts from three Horizon 2020 projects – Möbius, S+T+ARTS Prize and MediaFutures – currently running EU-funded initiatives for CCIs – will also share their best practices of sustainability and business exploitation that facilitate innovation in CCIs. Strengthening connections and collaborations with actors and networks in the digital media ecosystem active at a European level leads to the transformation and innovation of new business models and opportunities.
