Möbius speaks about immersive reading at the MediaFutures Demo Days 2023
Readers are stimulated by images that push their sense of perception
The European initiative MediaFutures celebrated its Final Event in the Design Zentrum Hamburg (Germany) on the 8th and 9th of June 2023. The Möbius Project, represented by Marta Portalés, EU Projects Coordinator at Mobile World Capital Barcelona, participated in the panel discussion “Further opportunities for artists and startups” to speak about immersive reading.
MediaFutures Demo Days celebrated innovative projects from all over Europe fighting misinformation and disinformation. During the two days of the event, the results of the MediaFutures programme were showcased: artworks, tools and services created by the supported artists and startups, but also learnings, a toolkit on misinformation and policy briefs.
The celebration was an occasion to foster synergies among teams, cultural and business partners and the general audience. That is why the agenda included panels and keynotes with experts, presentations of local and European initiatives for artists and startups, and social moments for professionals and the attendees.
Immersion complements the effect of imagination
Simona de Rosa (DEN) moderated the panel discussion “Further opportunities for artists and startups” on the 9th of June, joined by Soenke Zehle (EIT Culture and Creativity), Marta Portalés (Digital Future Society, Möbius), Gefion Thuermer (IMPETUS Project) and Paula Lauterbach (Kreativ Gesellschaft).
“Möbius is reimagining the publishing sector and the book of the future. We are working with immersive realities. We have done a book with technological developments, such as video and audio, but also immersive reading, and we can see that readers are stimulated by images“, explained Marta Portalés during her talk.
