Möbius is showcased at ISE 2024 in Barcelona
One month before the end of the project, and when the results of MÖBIUS are sufficiently mature, from January 30th January to February 2nd, the Eurecat Technology Centre is presenting at ISE 2024 in Barcelona, the leading international trade fair for the audiovisual sector and integrated systems, the new 3D sound system for audiobooks that offers an immersive experience of reading in digital format, through narratives enriched with special 3D effects and musical creations.
The Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Barcelona is a must-attend event offering a unique opportunity to learn about the latest trends, network with industry professionals, and contribute to shaping the future of the industry.
In particular, within the framework of MÖBIUS these new media technologies are applied in an innovative format of multimedia audiobooks and allow the creation of content and experiences with 3D sound and binaural reproduction that authors can link to electronic books, achieving immersive audiobooks and narratives enriched with special 3D effects and musical creations.
Möbius aims to harness the power of prosumers – a new breed of consumers who are also content producers and proposes new business models for the publishing sector to adapt to new trends and market needs and add value to the publishing process with cutting-edge tools such as a cross-media web application that transforms stories into immersive and interactive experiences.
An application has also been developed that allows the reader to combine text, 3D audio and audiovisual visualisations based on the artistic elements of the book.
The MOBIUS project is set to revolutionise the publishing industry by creating cross-media, interactive, and immersive book experiences. This project represents a significant step towards renewing the book sector in cooperation with global audiences.
In conclusion, the MOBIUS project, with its focus on prosumers and innovative business models, is poised to reshape the future of the publishing industry. The results showcased at the ISE 2024 Congress in Barcelona underline the project’s potential to drive significant change in the sector.
